Mark your calendar for Art Central 2024! You are invited to an explosion of art on the harbor! Culture vultures meet art enthusiasts in Hong Kong’s amazing art fair for all ages.  This year is unique as the focus is mainly on local Hong Kong artists and galleries. Art Central 2025 highlights:

• Legend: Art Central Hong Kong 2025 will introduce a new special feature called “Legend” to commemorate the fair’s tenth edition. This curated section will showcase the work of six internationally acclaimed artists who have played pivotal roles in shaping the art landscape of the Asia-Pacific region.
• Neo: Art Central 2024 introduces a fresh feature, Neo, which serves as a launchpad for first-year participating galleries to showcase avant-garde or yet-to-be-discovered talents in an intimate yet prominent exhibition space. Enoch Cheng, the fair’s advisory curator, will spotlight 15 galleries along with 33 artists making their mark at the sector’s premiere. Click here for the list of participating galleries.
• Yi Tai Sculpture & Exhibition Project: Art Central Hong Kong 2025’s Yi Tai Sculpture & Installation Projects will showcase large-scale works by international artists. Featuring innovative sculptures and immersive installations, the project explores themes like human-nature relationships, cultural identity, and memory, offering visitors a thought-provoking experience that blends traditional concepts with contemporary expression.
• Nadim Abbas: Hong Kong artist Nadim Abbas will unveil “A Brazen Rift (After Branzi)” at Art Central 2025, a large-scale commissioned installation inspired by Andrea Branzi’s architectural drawings. The work transforms Branzi’s two-dimensional visions into modular forms, exploring urban density and crowd dynamics. Abbas’ practice, spanning two decades, interrogates the nature of images and their relationship to reality, often creating immersive scenarios that blur the lines between objects, bodies, and space.
• Video Art: Art Central Hong Kong 2025’s Video Art program, titled “On the Shores of…”, will showcase works by international artists exploring themes of history, representation, and speculative futures. The lineup includes Shu Lea Cheang’s “Virus Becoming”, Kary Kwok’s “You Don’t Know Me, But…”, Raqs Media Collective’s “The Bicyclist Who Fell Into a Time-Cone”, and Riar Rizaldi’s “Mirage – Eigenstate”. Additionally, the program will feature a curated selection from the Akeroyd Collection, presented daily at Cinema Central.
• Talks: Artists and curators from all around the globe will be participating in thought-provoking talks.
• Performances: Artists will be taking part in ground-breaking performances, more here.
• Night Central: Have an artsy date night on March 26 at Night Central with special opening hours (5:00pm-9:00pm).
• Kids? Children 4 years and under may enter for free with a ticket-holding adult. Children’s tickets are available for children aged 5–15 and must be accompanied by an adult.

Public Tours: Ticket holders at Art Central can partake in complimentary small group tours. These tours are conducted by knowledgeable docents and experts from the industry and occur twice a day. Gather at the designated meeting point within the Fair at the scheduled times for the start of the tours.
