planned giving. legacy living.

“What you leave behind is not what is engraved in stone monuments, but what is woven into the lives of others.”

live your values

Your legacy is far more than how you are remembered by family, friends and associates.

It is the impact you have on community through deeply held and thoughtfully expressed values throughout your life.

When expressed through support of the FeedMore WNY Foundation, your legacy is one of hope and a powerful response to hunger.

“You helped me. Now, I can help you.”

your gift will make a world of difference

Will clients who rely on FeedMore WNY services be impacted?

FeedMore WNY’s move to Hamburg will not affect its clients. FeedMore's model of operation is to bring its services directly to clients.

The Hamburg location is roughly the geographic center of FeedMore WNY’s four-county service area.

How is FeedMore WNY affected by its lack of adequate space?

The FeedMore WNY is renting or borrowing nearly 30,000 square feet of freezer, cooler, and dry storage space, and there is no room to hire additional staff or grow programs.

In the past couple of years, FeedMore WNY had to turn away roughly 1.2 million pounds of food donations annually because the products could not be stored or repacked safely.

How will FeedMore pay for the new facility?

Gov. Kathy Hochul and state lawmakers included $24 million for the project in the recently passed budget. U.S. senators Chuck Schumer and Kirsten Gillibrand, and former Rep. Chris Jacobs also helped secure $2 million in federal funding, and Assemblyman Jon Rivera provided a lead grant of $250,000.

FeedMore WNY is currently working with a number of foundations, corporations and community members to acquire lead commitments of significant, multi-year gifts in support of the effort.

To date, $62,768,621 in private and public dollars has been committed to the project.

Will volunteers be impacted?

Less than 1% of FeedMore's volunteers work in one of our current buildings.

Volunteers who are part of FeedMore WNY's home-delivered meals program, or who volunteer at special events will continue to support our hunger-relief efforts at the home-delivered meal sites or the venues of our special events.

Volunteers who help in one of our current buildings or our community garden will now come to the new location in Hamburg.

We are grateful that you have made it a personal priority to join us

in the fight against food insecurity in Western New York!
